Mr. Izquierdo - Spanish Teacher
I was born in Cali, a multicultural city in Colombia, where I got a Journalism Bachelor and a ED. Master in Popular Education. In Colombia I worked as University Teacher and consultant in development process with underserved communities in the fields of public health and popular communication. I am married to Luz and I am the father of a beautiful girl, Nicole (26 years old). I arrived in the USA 10 years ago, and I had to reconfigure my profession; first I worked as health educator with Latino Communities in Chicago, Il. and here, In Omaha, I worked with One World Community health Centers training to community health promoters. Four years ago I began working with OPS, first as a paraprofessional and now I am in my third year as aSpanish teacher. Thanks to OPS, I am finishing my ED. Master in Curriculum and Instruction in UNK. I hope to get my master's degree during the Spring term.
