These last two weeks will be used to wrap up our 7th
grade curriculum. The last unit is over percentages,
probability, and sampling. Sample spaces are all possible outcomes of a chance experiment. Think about flipping a coin. How many possible outcomes are there? In this unit, you will calculate the number
of outcomes in a given sample space to find the probability of a given event. Have you ever seen a roulette wheel? Some people gamble in a casino betting on red
or black numbers to be spun. But are red
and black the only possible outcomes? It is always important to know your odds
of winning or losing in any situation! Enjoy these last few lessons and have fun with

I have sent you all a PRE assessment for the last unit. I would suggest exploring Khan Academy videos
and activities before attempting this on Teams.
Although it is a PRE assessment, it might make more sense after some
instruction. This is your last unit! Knowing
how to calculate probability will definitely help you in your 8th
grade math journey. Keep up the great
