Ms. John - Reading

Hello there! My name is Breanne John and I am one of the Reading teachers here at Bryan Middle School! I will be working with the 7C team for the 2020-2021 school year. I have been a teacher in the district since 2015. I am an Omaha native and was an OPS student and, because of the awesome experience I had as a student, I did not want to teach anywhere but in OPS! After completing my education in OPS, I attended UNO for my bachelor’s degree (Health education 7-12 and Deaf/Hard of Hearing education 7-12, General Elementary K-6) and a master’s degree (Reading Specialist K-12). I also recently finished another master’s degree (TESOL/ESL K-12) from Concordia University! Prior to coming to Bryan Middle School, I worked at Lewis and Clark Middle School and taught Human Growth and Development. Outside of school, I really enjoy going to my local YMCA and participating in dance fitness classes along with teaching my own dance fitness class! I also enjoy hanging out on the couch with my dog (Monroe) and my boyfriend (Adam) watching movies or binging new shows on Netflix or Hulu! I also LOVE reading, Diet Coke, and trying new recipes and restaurants.

I am looking forward to getting to know my students and my new environment this school year! Email is the best way to get in contact with me, (breanne.john@ops.org), so please reach out to me whenever needed!
