Investigate and demonstrate practical applications of Newton's Laws
Newtons Laws of Motion
First Law: An object in motion will stay in motion and an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted on by an outside force.
- motion - inertia - balanced forces - unbalanced forces - distance - reference point
Second Law:
If an outside force acts on a body it will accelerate in the direction of the force. The amount of acceleration depends on the mass of the object. The more mass the more force needed to move it.
- force - net force - velocity - speed - acceleration - friction - gravity - weight - mass - air resistance
Third Law: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
- action - reaction
