My name is Jessica Korth and I am Bryan Middle School's Instructional Coach. My main role is one of support and relationship building. Instructional coaches work with teachers to help them incorporate research-based instructional practices. Coaches help teachers in their professional reflection process regarding their classroom practices. Coaches align professional development to the school's improvement plan while monitoring implementation during coaching visits. Coaches help teachers address learning challenges within classrooms through modeling, co-teaching, and providing feedback. My goal is to develop a teacher's capacity for high-quality instruction.
I have been with Omaha Public Schools for 21 years with 19 of them being a Bryan Bear! I received my undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in Elementary Education, my Middle-Level Endorsement from UNO, my Masters in the Art of Teaching Mathematics from UNL, and my Master of Education in Teaching and Leadership from Midland University. I also work as an adjunct professor at UNO and Bellevue University. In my free time I enjoy reading, PiYo, hanging out with my 15-year old son, and playing with my Chiweenie dog named Adelita.
