Community Counseling

The Methodist Community Counseling Program includes a team of licensed mental health practitioners dedicated to helping clients improve their quality of life by addressing their unique mental health and emotional challenges. Our team of experts is here to help you add new life skills, discover strengths, enhance parenting skills, grow relationships and learn new ways to cope.

Counseling services are offered to students in each middle school, high school and alternative program in Omaha Public Schools and to community members at locations across Omaha. Sessions can also be held via telehealth from the comfort of your home or office.

If you feel that you or someone you love is in danger, call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-8255.

Community Counseling services are provided by the Nebraska Methodist Hospital Foundation.

Ms. Lewis is available by appointment at tylinn.lewis@nmhs.org or 531-299-7038.

School Social Worker

The role of the Omaha Public Schools School Social Worker is to be the link between the student, home, school, and community by providing direct and indirect services to students, families, and school staff to promote and support students’ academic, social and emotional success.

School social workers are trained mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, positive behavioral support, and classroom support. They bring unique knowledge and skills to the school setting by consulting with teachers, parents and administrators, as well as providing individual and group counseling.

Ms. Riviera is available every day at Bryan Middle to support students.  You may contact her at Sara.Rivera@ops.org or 531-299-7313.
